Capital Improvement |

The Capital
Improvements application contains details about major improvement
projects done by Miami-Dade County. Improvements such as the
construction or reconstruction of public buildings, bridges,
roads, sidewalks, landscaping and lighting are included. Small
projects and maintenance of existing facilities are not included.
Participating
county departments include: the Department of Environmental
Regulation Management (DERM), Public Works, Aviation, Seaport,
Police, Fire Rescue, Corrections and Rehabilitation, Park
and Recreation, Library, Transit and Housing. At the present
time this database does not include any details about Water
and Sewer projects.
The County
is responsible for most major roadway systems in Miami-Dade
County, including substantial portions within municipalities.
Projects directly funded by the State of Florida, the Federal
Government or local municipalities without County participation
are not included.
The application
includes prior activities, current year projects and projected
activities for the next five years. Each year the Capital
Budget and Multi-year Capital Plan are updated prior to the
beginning of the new fiscal year on October 1st.

Reports:
Search
Results - Displays
the total number of projects in the given geographical area.
Summary
Results - For each Project Type, the number (No.) of projects
of that type is displayed, along with the improvement Project
Status. Click on the Status type to see the Project Detail
report.
Project
Detail Report - This report provides more detail about the
project.

Quick Start Instructions:

the Show Me dropdown box on the left of this screen. |

locate an area or property.
When the location is found, a report will show information next to the map. |

How to Search My
Neighborhood?
| 1. |
Select one of
the My Neighborhood applicatons from the the Show Me drop-down
list.

| 2. |
After you have
selected an Application from the Show Me list, select type
of search you would like to perform, by selecting one of the items
in the Search by drop-down list. Search by allows
you to locate a specific area or property.
There are three
Search methods:

Address |
Opens
a window with a dialog box to enable location of addresses
by street.
If you
know the specific address, you can enter the Street Number,
Direction, Street Name, and Street Type. The Zip Code is optional,
but will help locate addresses if they could be located in
more than one city.

Intersection |
Opens
a window with a dialog box to enable location of addresses
by cross streets.
You can
enter the Direction, Street Name and Street Type for two streets
that intersect. The center point of the map will be the intersection
you select.

Landmark |
Opens
a window with a dialog box to enable location of addresses
by Landmark.
Select
a landmark from the provided list.
