Reports/Glossary: Search Results - The number of incidents reported in a given geographical area will be displayed. The number for each type of incident will be shown. Crime Type Definition Auto Theft No Type (Not classified) Auto Theft Attempt Break-in, not taken Auto Theft Foreign Stolen From a different district, reported stolen Auto Theft Stolen Vehicle was taken Burglary No Type (Not classified) Burglary Commercial Taken from a place of business Burglary Residential Taken from a private home Burglary Vehicle Taken from a vehicle Robbery Taken from a person Incident Detail - Clicking on the link (Crime Type) will produce a report in a new window with more details about each incident. The report will indicate how many incidents occurred in the specified area. Field Definition Grid A number assigned by Miami-Dade Police to specific areas in the county. Crime Incident The type of crime. Date Date incident occurred. Week Day Day of the week incident occurred. Time Time of day incident occurred, using the 24-hour clock. (13:00 is 1 p.m.) District The Miami-Dade Police District reporting the incident. To print the report, click on the printer icon below the table. TOP Advanced Search: To further refine your search, use Advanced Search. When this feature is opened, the range of dates for which data is available will be listed first. You can narrow this range by specifying specific dates, times and/or days of the week. Advance search also allows you to search by specific crime incident types. If you enter a "To Date" which is later than the last day of available data, you will get and error message stating no data is available for that date. TOP

Quick Start Instructions: 1. Make a selection from the Show Me dropdown box on the left of this screen. 2. From the Search By dropdown box select Address, Intersection or Landmark to locate an area or property. When the location is found, a report will show information next to the map. 3. Use a tool to zoom, pan, print or get more detailed information. 4. From the Show Me dropdown box select a different My Neighborhood application. TOP

How to Search My Neighborhood? 1. Select one of the My Neighborhood applicatons from the the Show Me drop-down list. 2. After you have selected an Application from the Show Me list, select type of search you would like to perform, by selecting one of the items in the Search by drop-down list. Search by allows you to locate a specific area or property. There are three Search methods: Address Opens a window with a dialog box to enable location of addresses by street. If you know the specific address, you can enter the Street Number, Direction, Street Name, and Street Type. The Zip Code is optional, but will help locate addresses if they could be located in more than one city. Intersection Opens a window with a dialog box to enable location of addresses by cross streets. You can enter the Direction, Street Name and Street Type for two streets that intersect. The center point of the map will be the intersection you select. Landmark Opens a window with a dialog box to enable location of addresses by Landmark. Select a landmark from the provided list. TOP

My Neighborhood Toolbar: We have provided Tools to help you navigate the My Neighborhood Maps. Use your mouse to select the tool you wish to use from the toolbar. The tool you select will appear as the "Active Tool." See the list below for more details on how to use each tool. Please note, the Active Tool, Zoom In, Zoom Out, Zoom Out to Full Extent, Identify, Pan and Legend are active only when a user is using one of the My Neighborhood applications.
	Active Tool	Identifies which tool is currently being used.
	Zoom In	Click to re-center or click and drag the mouse to draw a box to zoom in one level at a time. To zoom in faster/slower, draw smaller/larger boxes.
	Zoom Out	Click to re-center or click and drag the mouse to draw a box to zoom out one level at a time. To zoom out faster/slower, draw smaller/larger boxes.
	Zoom Out to Full Extent	Reverts back to display initial county map.
	Identify	Click on a map symbol feature to get attribute information. Opens a popup menu displaying the attribute data of the point selected.
	Pan	Pan the map display in any direction by left clicking the mouse and dragging it.
	Print	Opens a popup window displaying the current map and report (if available). Then it can be printed or saved using your browser's menu File - Print command.
	Aerial Photography	Shows Aerial Photography.
	My Home page	Clicking on this icon will take you to My Home page to obtain property information on the currently selected address.
	Help	Opens a window with help topics.
