The Miami-Dade County Sexual Offender and Sexual Predator Ordinance 21-277 deems
it unlawful for any person that has established residency on or after November 25,
2005, and has been convicted of a sexual battery, lewd and lascivious act on/in
the presence of persons under age 16, sexual performance by a child, or selling
or buying of minors for portrayal in sexually explicit conduct, in which the victim
of the offense was less than sixteen (16) years of age, to reside within 2,500 feet
of any school. “School” designated as a public or private kindergarten, elementary, middle
or secondary (high) school.

Florida Statutes 794.065 deems it unlawful for any person convicted of a sexual
battery, lewd and lascivious act on/in the presence of persons under age 16, sexual
performance by a child, or selling or buying of minors for portrayal in sexually
explicit conduct, in which the victim of the offense was less than sixteen (16)
years of age, to reside within 1,000 feet of any school, daycare center, or playground.
This applies to any person for offenses that occur on or after October 1, 2004.
